How to make a claim on your travel insurance

When you notify us of a claim, where possible one member of our claims department will handle it through to conclusion.

Our Claims Department is open from 8am until 8pm from Monday to Friday. You can contact us on 0330 1007705 and one of our handlers will be able to take you through how to make a claim.

Before you call us you may find that some of your questions are answered in our Claim Tips.

During your call with us we will take as much information as possible from you and we will give you an indication of cover for your claim at the end of our conversation. To help us make this decision as quickly as possible it would be helpful if you could have the Documentation that we need in front of you when you call.

Report a claim

You should report a claim upon your return to the UK or within 31 days of the event, whichever is earlier. We will then send a claim form to you.

Service standards

You can expect the following service from 1Stop Travel Insurance:

  • 80% of telephone calls to be answered within 30 seconds
  • new claim acknowledged within 5 working days
  • all correspondence answered within 5 working days
  • payments issued within 10 working days of finalisation
  • complaints acknowledged within 3 working days and answered within 5 working days
